I'll tell you the way I use Dropbox with voice dream which might not be how
others do it.
Since Dropbox is a cloud based storage service, you first must decide how you
will get the files to its servers. I downloaded its desktop program to my
windows desktop and a Dropbox folder
Remembr to enable Dropbox access in Voice Dream Reader's settings before trying
to add files from dropbox.

The first question I would ask is, is dropbox running on your computer, because
if it isn’t then it won’t sync.

Not that I'm aware of it.
It is possible when you grant access to your dropbox account to an other app to
specify if it gets access to the whole dropbox or just an app specific folder
but that's as close to what you're saying that I can think of.
Again, I'm not sure 100%.

I haven't done what I'm about to advise here, but I do understand that since
I suspect you have all of your devices using the same account the assumption
is made that you'll want access to all of that account's data. You may
consider creating an alternative DropBox account for your iPhone so
