Sometimes Eye Note  works for me,  sometimes it doesn't. But now, I know that when it doesn't, it needs more light. So, I either turn a light on in the room, or go outside, and it has never not worked under these conditions. I have the cheap phone, it probably works better on the pro models.

After launching EyeNote, hold the phone about 6 to 8 inches away from a US bill, and you should hear the bill identified. There's no interface to speak of. Just launch the app and start scanning bills. If you'd like the settings displayed in eyeNote when you launch it, you can go into Settings
