Keep in mind that the way Siri behaves may have less to do witgh your iPhone then with the service. Which phone do you have? If it's an iPhone 8 or older I can see how an upgrade could definitely be a good thing, but if you have an iPhone 11 or anything like that I personally really don't see

This is an IOS bug. I have this problem with my iPhone SE 2020 running IOS 14.8. For me, rebooting the phone will fix the problem for a day or two. Closing every thing in the app manager helps reduce occurrences of this problem, especially if messages is closed in the app manager when you
