When I open Apple maps, top right is Share button. Bottom right is Settings but
within that menu is no mention of Tracking. Did I misunderstand?
Thanks

Hi Terry,
according to Amazon.com the new 32 gig iPod Touch 6th gen is selling for $242.
There are used models listing for as little as $174.
Using some sort of cloud backup such as Dropbox to transfer files in and out of

Hello Richard,
Thank you so much for your advice. I really appreciate it. I would wait and
save up money to get the six generation model, but it is hard for me to save up
money. So that is why I am taking what I can get. Maybe there is not the
greatest idea. But I know if I wait for a while,
No, but it is free, so check it out.

I actually have it doing pretty much what I want. It still announces
when I have a notification but doesn't read it. I'm thinking the mute
switch may be exactly what I need to achieve only a silent vibration
when I receive a notification.
Thanks all for the suggestions.

Take off all the notifications you do not want and then turn on vibrate in
sounds. Then you can mute your phone with the left side button on the phone.
All I can think of. LOL!

GoodBudget, free with in app purchases
Goodbudget is based on the envelope budgeting method. But with no physical
envelopes ... only virtual envelopes! Use envelope budgeting to plan your
spending, not just track it!
Share a budget and sync across multiple phones
Does anyone use an accessible app for keeping track of budgets and
spending? I've tried Mint, but there are a number of features such as
setting alerts that appear to be inaccessible.

You get things on and off the iPod the same way you do with the iPhone.
You can choose in iTunes to not have anything automatically sync to the iPod.
iTunes will show that you have two devices and you can select the one you have
plugged in and only put certain things on it.

As for putting the MP3 files on the IPod it is easiest if you have a

It sure looks like they have limited it to your location.
It isn't quite so clean, but with Blind Square you could simulate your location
and then search for restaurants under Food or Night Life Spots.
Though, just using the Web is probably easier.
Good luck,

Hi Richard,
I am logged in. I did that after trying it without being logged in. No
difference. Yes, I can certainly use the web. I just like the app as it is
rather streamlined. But maybe this is just a built in limitation of the app.
Too bad.

Hi,
If you know the name of the restaurant, you can search for that and then search
for restaurants similar to it through nearby. But you cannot pick a specific
location as far as I know. This doesn't help much, but it can give you a couple
other options.

Mary,
It looks to me tthat the Yelp app only searches locally.
I looked at support and didn't find a way to ask a question or to request a
feature.
I couldn't even find a way to change cities.
I'm not logged in, so I don't know if that makes a difference.
I would suggest Safari and search for

Hi Wayne,
Blindsquare is definitely a popular and good app. However, if somebody just
wants street announcements from time to time, you can now easily do this with
Apple Maps. All I do is open maps, at the very top right is a "Settings" button
and right underneath it is the button called

The screen curtain feature is for privacy concerns only. It does not effect
screen brightness. I don't know why your brightness keeps going up, since you
said you have auto brightness turned off, and you put the brightness slider to
0, but others seem to think that the brightness resets to
