Re: an issue with the facebook apps and viewing groups
Facebook Groups haven't been moved. After launching the app, tap on More located in the bottom right corner, swipe down to groups. For some weird reason, most likely my internet connection, I had to turn off wifi & let Facebook load the page, then everything with Facebook worked fine when I turned wifi back on. Re: an issue with the facebook apps and viewing groups
Hi, This happens for me occasionly. Here is a work around..Use 3 fingers & swipe up from the bottom of the phone (same gesture used when swiping to advance pages). Make a mental note of the page number voiceover announces. At times the page doesn't advance with the first swipe; repeat the gesture if needed. Here is another work around..When using the Facebook, YouTube or any other app in which the Back or Close Buttons are hidden from voiceovers focus..Using 3 fingers, swipe from left to right. This will bring up the previous app in your app switcher. Swipe right to left using 3 fingers. This will put back in the Facebook, YouTube or other app. Voiceover now should be able to place focus on the back or close button. RE: an issue with the facebook apps and viewing groups
Hello Shermeen, I can confirm your findings; however, the issue is somewhat more complex than what you are aware. When in a group, one can see all of the posts but for the fact that swiping up and down is only moving the video display one line at a time without updating VoiceOver. I can understand how a totally blind person would not be able to detect this as VoiceOver is completely out-of-sync with the video display, in this current release. For all intent and purposes, however, your description of the problem is accurate. Clearly this is a programming oversight as the developer forgot to include groups display in the VoiceOver video call. Please report this to Facebook and you may use my bug description in your comments. I'll go into the group's page, and no matter what I do, I can only see two posts before I'm at the tabs along the bottom of the screen. This appears to be the case with all facebook groups I'm in, so I doubt it's specific to any one group. Is there a setting I need to tweak? are other people having this problem as well?is there another app that people are using to access facebook?
