Hello, back in the IOS 7 days, I could move apps. into and out of
folders, and the folders themselves. I tried moving an app that I
had installed back into it's folder, and couldn't make it work. I
double tap and hold, get the usual sound
do nothing else! Smiles

No, that ability to move apps got broke with iOS *. Used

OK, I've had a number of occasions with the latest firmware and apps not
moving, especially but not only on the Home page. So far I have found that the
only solution is to make a space in your doc at the bottom

There's a bug in IOS 8 where you can't move some apps out of the bottom
row of your home screen. Could you be running into this bug? Other than
this bug, moving apps around still works as it always has.
