I thought the Light Detector app so named just Light Detector was gone
from the app store. It may still reside on devices on which it'd been

charging, then when they are off it done charging. Another one is when you
plug in a headset the little L E D light is on when it is charging
Thinking out loud here...How about using a piece of duct tape to cover all but
1 light at a time? I realize this may not be possible if the display where the
lights are is smooth & the lights aren't slightly raised or recessed.

Just thought those who had issues with Light Detector might want to update
the app as I just noticed that an update was available and the only What's
New feature which was mentioned is iOS 8 support.

Light Detector now works on my iPhone 5 with iOS 8.0.2, and there is a new
feature with this update. If Voice-Over is turned on, you can touch the screen
and hear the amount of luminosity, given as a percentage.
