Hi John & all,
Short of buying a new scanner, if your Canon TS6060 is still working you could
use the venerable VueScan software which covers virtually all scanners you can
think of. I have checked VueScan for its Canon Driver and the TS6060 is in
their list.
I have been using VueScan for ma
Hi John, how are you accessing the scanner on your printer. I go to the printer
settings in preferences and scan from there. Cheers, Susan.

Hi John.
This sounds familiar to me.
I had a Canon printer until about 18 months ago.
Then suddenly it would no longer scan.
I spent a lot of time trying to rectify the issue.
I eventually emailed Canon.
They told me that they were no longer updating software for that printer.
So it was no longer
Hi John, Hi Alan,
Yes, like Alan, I also use Image Capture for both scanning and importing photos
from my iPhone.
I find Image capture works well with an old HP PhotoSmart multifunction printer.
Occasionally the HP gets "lost" from the "Devices" sidebar and the main window
shows "No camera or
Hi John
A possible work around. The macOS app Image Capture may work. This will bypass
the built-in Canon software.
Image Capture worked with my obsolete Lexmark when its software was no longer
available. I now have an Epson scanner which works very well, but I prefer to
use Image Capture. I
I tend to go to Preview then File then Import from Canon

Hello group,
I am having trouble (in fact, can’t get any joy) scanning with my Canon Pixma
TS6060 Multifunction printer. Have tried installing new drivers, checked the
Canon info site and generally spent half the day trying to get a scan from the
printer to the Computer. All to no avail.

Further to my email this morning I now have VueScan doing its usual excellent
scanning.
For the record, this is what did the trick:
1 Found VueScan version 8.6.63 on a backup disk
2 Copied that version to a separate folder in my Applications folder
3 Launched that version and it worked

Are you a VueScan user, and do you use a Canon scanner? If you have the current
version of VueScan (9.0.24 x64), can you still scan? Since I installed the
current version of VueScan it still launches fine, but refuses to scan.
I do realise that you have to set the current 64-bit version of
CanoScan 5000F flatbed A4 scanner; cost $399 Aug '03; in good nick;
comes with software on CD ROM; USB connection; works with Tiger. I'm
committed to Leopard, so Canon's sluggishness in offering drivers for
Leopard, and my need for work space, is why I'm unloading it.

The scanning software itself isn't too bad, but I normally import the
scanned image directly to Photoshop for retouching.

in a cupboard most of the time.
I just plug in the scanner, and scan. No restarts, no hassles.

Hi All,
I am considering the purchase of a LIDE 30 Canon scanner which,
according to my research, seems to have the necessary drivers for
OSX. If there is anybody already using this particular scanner I
would very much appreciate receiving your views about it.
Thanks.
