The iOS 4.2.1 update crashed my 3Gs iPhone.
Had backed up before I started of course :)
Took 4 restores to fix it.
To be fair it does have some old apps on it I need to clean up and it's having
vodafone issues.
Though I got email working again. Yay me :)
No problems on iPad though and iPhone
Updated my iPad today with no issues at all.
Now spending time group apps into folders.

I stand corrected. I have only the original 6 tones. So there has been no
miraculous Apple intervention for my personal iPhone. I guess Daniel Kerr is
right when he says that this yet another excuse to upgrade to an iPhone 4. :-)

Before you update on your iPhone, this is how I updated my iPad and didn't have
any problems (as yet).
1. Backup Sync FIRST
2. Then download install the update
3. Let it do another Sync

Hi, I just tested forwarding an attachment between my email accounts on my
iPad. It works for me, the attachment does get sent and received. Also, I've
had no complaints from other people about attachments not arriving.
So, it seems something other than your iPad is hindering the attachment

crazy. I reported in to Apple and they are aware of this issue. (See bug

I ended up only sychronising a selection of iPhoto events. To get it restored,

If you put more than 16GB (See bar at the bottom in iTunes) onto your iPad it

If I understand you correctly, the problem is with one specific email
message that is downloaded onto your iPad.
You want to delete it - but the action of selecting it (in order to delete
it) causes Mail to lock up.
I do not use Mail myself, but have encountered the same problem

I have only ever used Vodafone for mobile internet on my Air (presumably Optus
network).
With Telstra apparently wanting to be more competitive, I am considering
Telstra for my iPad.
Does anyone know from experience whether the speed difference will be
negligible/ noticeable
The one thing that Telstra ever got right, was the quality of the next g
network.
(vodafone have their own towers BTW)
If you don't mind the Telstra Tax, then by all means go with them for the iPad.
Anything else... run away screaming.
