In staying off topic... :-)
The Amiga was streets ahead until the early 90s. The Video Toaster add on

hackable OS (in the true sense of the word) which was very elegant and

Hey all
Apple iTunes seems to be full of bugs, they seem to be rushing. These lesser
products I can understand but look at all of the issues with 10.4.10!
Thanks, David Moyle

Hi All!
Just wondering if any techies on the list might have one of the many fried
logic board iBooks floating around. I'm after the inverter that sits inside
the display that gets the backlight working. I have a 700Mhz G3 White iBook
with a 12 display.
Would be nice to get this old laptop up

Hi Mike,

Seeing as the sys reqs are 10.1 and a G3, I don't like your chances of it
working with anything modern :-(
If you have an Intel Mac, I would consider looking at the PC options and

Just a little tip for the day - make sure that if you are forwarding on an

Ronnie,
There are two reasons I think your WOTY award is well deserved.
The iMac in question is a tray load, which had no video out port.
*But* if you take the back cover off, there is a cable the goes from the
logic board to the analog board, which is the standard d type that was on
all older macs. You might be able to plug that cable into an older Mac
monitor.
Hi Susan,
Rip the movie with Handbrake (or Media Fork). It will make the movie an MP4
file, which can then be brought into Quicktime or iMovie for an edit.

Hi Reg,
Does it *need* to be one large file? What about just zipping the folder
into one archive. When you want to see them again, unzip. Might be the
simplest solution :-)

Right click on any wmv movie file and select Get Info. Where it says Open

It is your reception. Had the same problem at my house, until I patched in
to the roof aerial. You can turn the aerial and pick up 9, but lose 7.
