Ok thanks Peter. I see now two options available for the 32 bit check.

32 bit apps will not work on Catalina. Catalina essentially ignores any 32 bit
app if you leave them installed before upgrading.
Easiest way to check for 32 bit apps installed is to run an app called “32bit

Hi Pat
Some suggestions:
1. Ensure you have the latest Catalina version (macOS 10.15.4) installed.
What was your previous OS? Did it update from Mojave or Sierra or ---?
2. Are you using USB or Bluetooth for the Wacom tablet? There may be a common

Hi, Alan,
It’s not just disliking Catalina; it is interfering with what I am trying to
do. I use a Wacom tablet and stylus. Just moving the stylus around causes the
interface to switch to another, random location, or go totally blank. And, I
have 2 small Western Digital external disks
needed, and
realised I never used most of them anyway when they died with Catalina.
I know I’m an early adopter and enthusiastically embrace the next big new
thing. Then troubleshoot my way around whatever that rash decision has
presented.
I know that’s not for everyone

Well this is a first for me … encountering an issue with a new macOS.
I am being asked to repair Photos Library.
Having agreed to do that and performing the exercise apparently successfully, I

Hi folks.
Hi mate,
With Catalina Apple have finally dropped all support for 32 bit applications.
So before installing Catalina check which of your apps do not operate on 64 bit.
Go to “About this Mac” at top left of Desktop.
Click on “System Report”
Click on “Applications” and wait
60 matches
