I watched it for the first time in a long time the other night. It's amazing
how many people are in it that were in at least 1 episode of TAGS. Otis, Clara,
Jud, The bank robber that gave Barney knock out drops, Big Maude, Ms Lesh, etc.

One of the biggest faux pas ever was in the car show episode. At the gas
station where Goober's friend worked a Coors beer truck passes by. As we know
at that time Coors was not allowed out east so it gave it away that they
weren't in Raleigh.

I laughed when Sande Riggs brought up the fact that Andy said wouldn't you
know his name would be Don to Barney. I NEVER made that connection. I guess
Don will always be thought of as Barney not Don.

By the way I noticed that Andy introduces Goober as Goober Beasley to the tv
I think Aunt Bee serves chicken n dumplings to Jim when he gets arrested for
playing on the street and then Andy promises that as supper to Rafe Holister if
he surrenders to Barney. Also, doesn't Aunt Bee pack some chicken legs in the
bag given to the man in a hurry (name is escaping me now)
The one where opie gets the job but then purposely gets fired might be a good
one. Being in color might be a good reason too because I don't know how much
the kids these days follow black and white shows. But I have always loved the
ending when Andy tells Opie you're a man.

We just got a puppy that had been abandoned on a dirt road in a small town near
us. We named it Easton for the town my wife is from in PA.

Easily explained. If you had a hook at the top of the door on the door frame on
the inside that would give you the directional force needed to pull the switch.
If I were able to attach a schematic here I could explain it better. I think

Our lab pup was playing with the older lab. He ran around and then into his
crate. When he did the door shut on him. I told him it's definitely no fun when
that iron door clangs shut. I literally LOL'd. No more carefree playing with
brother. No more chewbones or treats. LOL!!
I'm not saying they are bad but if you flew a bird through the room every one
of them would point.

My wife (38) and I (42) are expecting twin girls, our first children, in
December. One of the things I look forward to is bringing them up to love my
favorite show and to do as I did - learn how to act like somebody. I can't
wait to hear them say Daddy, Andy Griffith is on! (Even though I have
Labor Day from 8:00am Eastern to 6:00pm Eastern.

Our twins came on Monday unexpectedly so they will be in NICU about 11 weeks.
There is a TV in the room so I turned it to TVLand so they can watch the best
show ever made. I think they like it ;)
I hope the nurses are TAGS fans because any time it's on when we visit we will
have it on.
Speaking of Christmas, I sure wish they would have had more than 1 episode of
TAGS for Christmas.

I wish they had done a Thanksgiving episode just like I wish they had done more
Christmas episodes. But the one Christmas episode they did sure was a great
one. It really embodied the true spirit of Christmas.

Silvia, the digests aren't really missing. But it seems some stories got in
about a woman dyeing her hair and another lady's food tasting like paste. Also,

I was looking for his mother and Vergil. I thought mother might have been the
one people may have forgotten.
But peoples answers brought up a question. I know Barney referred to Andy as a
cousin on the first episode but never again, right? I wonder why.
Howard Sprague played a character of Ed the Insurance agent once. How did that
come about? I've never seen an actor play a somewhat major character on a show
and then play a totally different one. Anyone know how that happened?
I'll put on my bucket and see if that helps.
On a funny side note
I would say the one where Opie gets the job but purposely loses it. It ends
with one of my favorite moments when Andy says Opie is a man.
It gets me *tapping by my heart* right here.

I do not know about Herb Ellis playing guitar for Jim Lindsey, but I do know
that in the Andy episode The Guitar Player Returns, Herb Ellis did play
