(--no-parent). I know that I, at least, have no interest in ever

Use gettext default files (.am, .in, .m4) you must edit some files
(configure.in or po/LINGUAS) and run automake/autoconf to make the "new"
languages available.

About doing the random number seed for ssl, I dug up what lynx does, and
it looks like it wouldn't be difficult to do something similar in wget.

-Wl,-rpath works, though. I suspect the same would be needed on irix
and decosf but don't know for sure. -R is recognized directly by gcc on
Solaris, so that part is ok.
