While writing my letter of GLAM lists I recalled that I was once
rejected membership in Education-coop mailing list. The reason was
Closed List.
As far as I know it's a list for a cabal of people who are working on
Education (an[1] Education Collaborative). I know of them since their
meeting
I don't see why employees (no diff whether it's about WMF or affiliates) who
are not also volunteers should have the vote right. It's up to Wikimedia
movement to chose it's lead. The non-volunteering employees are outsiders who

Wikicommunities blackouted wikis protest to some political laws in some
countries which is beyond not-a-soapbox pillar but they can't stand
WMF's pressure. Should be vice versa IMHO.
