I almost hate to keep this thread going...but let's try looking at a broader
definition of split using the dictionary type format.
Things do change over time people

2. When the AF audio frequencies are
What you're calling "Software AHS" is not just for harmonic suppression. It
also allows you to transmit outside your bandpass (virtually). So even though
your rig may only have 2400Hz of width you can still transmit at 2900Hz -- you
just can't receive there. It also helps avoid signal loss
Nobody owns the definition of splitas for confusing hams they are only
confused because they refuse to learn.
#1 Rigs have a split button -- it lights up. That's split mode -- no
requirement that VFOB be on any different frequency than VFOA. You can run CW

Why do you want more than 16-bit? That would increase dynamic range.
Currently WSJT-X will only use 16-bit.
Our current recommendation is to set the audio level in WSJT-X at 60dB and use
slow AGC. Slow AGC should prevent the AGC from increasing the signal level

On Wednesday,
Duplicated this behavior -- doesn't matter if you enter a frequency or not.
Just hitting enter on the box enables TX if there are messages in the generated
messages.
If you just click somewhere else instead of hitting Enter it works OK.
And this only happens on Hound mode.

That doesn't solve the problem either.
He needs to control the frequency on two rigs at once -- and WSJTX does not
support that.
I've got this in Hamlib as an
enhancement.https://github.com/Hamlib/Hamlib/issues/655

I can't duplicate that problem here -- presumably your Hound frequencies were
done in a earlier version?Have you tried resetting the frequencies?
File/Settings -- Frequencies tab -- right-click in list and select
"Reset".Probably in the Hound config.

A more important thing to remember -- do NOT call the Fox when you can't decode
them.If you don't see the Fox messages all you can do is lower their QSO rate
trying to reply to you when you can't decode them.
I see tons of "blind callers" on any DXpedition doing this.

I don't see how HRD should be able to crash WSJTX except with a bad response
and non-robust code in the HRD transceiver backend.
But the log I saw doesn't show a bad response and the section of code in HRD
looks bullet proof.
Crashing is a sign of a segmentation fault which is either a NULL

For Windows users it will be in C:\Users\[username]\Appdata\WSJT-X
For Linux users /[username]/.local/share/WSJT-X
Should look like this and have one warning possibly about dropped audio. If
you see any other warnings please
If it runs at startup but fails during/after transmit than it is probably RFI.
