I am reporting here another issue with my TX5S QSO and the FT8 windows

Once upon a time I asked a question and the gurus had an answer (V2.2.2
I think).
My question was about "how does FT8 keep huge files open and still keep
up with the band activity while updating huge files". Today's question
is about that. ALL.TXT has grown really large. Is there a

ST4-120 is about the same as for
WSPR. For longer transmission periods transmitter
frequency stability requirement is higher as the used
bandwidth goes down. See user guide 17.2.10. Summary. Of
course the (un)stability of the propagation path on 160m
band may prevent usage of the slowest modes.
Hello,
FT8 on 160m pales.
WSJT-X operators customarily running FT8 and FT4 on 80m through 10m HF
bands are likely disappointed with trials on 160m. As one of those
operators I recently ran WSPR on 160m in comparison to working FT8 QSOs
on 160m. In NA EST daytime operation at 2220Z WSPR
This is a theory question. There is a bit of FT8 on 160m. Does use of a
Beverage Antenna to get more signal raise the S/N value? Would that
antenna help with receiving weaker signals (a variation of that S/N
question)?

Today I had a case where the blue-ish "Decode" button was stuck on

Is there any log file that records changes in settings? Such could be
useful for tracking down reasons for unexpected operational failures and
surprises.

Hi Dennis,
I can test with this if you need help with this combination: Windows 10
22H2, Kenwood TS590SG, USB cable controlled. Do you need more specifics
on Version numbers of anything?
So far I have had no hamlib trouble with this combination with 2.2.2,
2.5.4, 2.6.1.

Hereby making a suggestion:
During the moment when the version of WSJT-X has been downloaded and the
next step is taken, which is executing the particular file
wsjtx-x.y.z-winNN.exe, why not first open a list of questions that must
all be answered with "Y" or "Yes" before it will install\?

The ALL.txt file is available to scan through with a simple

Hi All,
I use Meinberg NTP with Windows 10. About two weeks ago with V2.6.1, I
do NOT remember if it was with 3Y0J, I found that my FT8 RX DECODE
matched the required time line position, about 13-14.9 seconds after the
beginning of the correct period (I believe it was EVEN). But at the
Perhaps there "needs to be" some world wide FT8 beacon stations on 24/7,
where the beacons are known to have accurate time. WSJT-X, upon the
operator tuning to the beacon(s), can report a time difference error, or
perhaps even resync the local clock to the beacon in lieu of WWV's or
CHU's etc.
Oh,
An HTML version is fine. That's all you ever had with V2.2.2 and a
couple after that.
My opinion is just that. The leaders can decide.
