How does ipmitool fare? Ipmitool lan print 1 if it does work and ipmitool

xcat supports, and which one is used by default. But since your output shows
no cipher suites at all, perhaps you might want to check the firmware version

The trouble is, its only the HP SL250s having this error message. We can
still rinstall HP DL165s, and Dell nodes, regardless of converting to
osimage or not.
For this node, I already did convert provmethod to osimage. Now I just want
to reboot it, I don't want to set it to netboot or

to try to work even if Administrator is forbidden messed something up...

I tried ipmi.pm from 2.7.8, that's what we had last before upgrading to
2.8.4. It seems module files have been moved around since then

Correction - replaced the correct file this time,
/opt/xcat/lib/perl/xCAT/IPMI.pm with the one from 2.7.8 gives this - at

We actually saw this intermittently on x240 flex blades last week. Fresh
2.8.4 install with latest deps. Don't have firmware info though. uEFI was
B2E126EUS-1.31, IMM was 2.60 1AOO42Y.

Did you try using the current documented method of deploying your nodes.
Run the following:
nodeset node1903 osimage=SL-x86_64-install-compute
rsetboot node1903 net
rpower node1903 boot
You could also run
rinstall node1903 -O SL-x86_64-install-compute which basically does the
three above
