This looks like a problem with your motherboard bios. Try
flashing a newer bios on it. Windows can probably do a better

I don't think this is an XFree86 problem. Perhaps if you disabled
your onboard graphics from within your motherboard bios, that would help.
Sounds like having two video cards in the system is confusing some
configuration application that comes with your Linux distribution.
We can give you advice on setting up the open source drivers that
come with XFree86. Basically, the nv driver that ships with XFree86
didn't support GeForce2 Go until recently. It will work in the upcoming

been paying attention to how this stuff works these days and
there are security implications of doing it incorrectly.
A solution, though undoubtedly the wrong one is to, as root do:
chmod +s /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree
Your server is configured to run a font server yet one is not
running. I think RedHat had a tool ntsysv? that allowed you
to start the font server xfs as well as other services.
