I'm just starting to do some Xlib (XFree 4.2.1) programming and got
stuck at the following problem: If I set the window attribute
override_redirect to True, I don't receive any KeyPress events

I have a nice Titanium Powerbook G4 800 Mac OS X and with SuSE Linux
7.1 for PPC.
The notebook has an ATI Radeon Mobility M7 LW (Radeon Mobility 7500)
(1002:4c57) graphic card.
On Mac OS X the graphic is perfect, but on Linux I get only strange
colors.

Have tried mouseconfig with a number of different mouse types.
MS Windows sees mouse.
Tried various mice -- different models/brands.
Current mouse is a Micro with FCC ID : IOWCM-PS2C
Mouse worked under Rel. 7 of Red Hat and its X11.
I am trying to avoid a reload of Red Hat.

I was able to get my VE/7000 working in 4.1.0 by using the DVI-VGA
adapter and plugging it into the DVI port on the card. After that, it
worked as expected.
XFree86 4.2.0 (and later) allowed me to switch to the VGA port, like one

looked on the source and found the control_proc function on many
touch-drivers.
This function can receive a xDeviceCtl, if i understand right.
