perl expertise is way under that necessary to
repair such a script, can any perl wizzards have a look over it and make
me happy with a fix, it seem that this gmail check is more and more
comon this day.

I use the following setup: Mdk9.2, av 1.8, xmail 1.17, the server
handles approx 1 messages a day since 2 weeks and it only happend
once 4 days ago to have the filter stuck at 99% CPU, since killing it
then, it never reapeared. Except for that single case everything worked

RFC822 (http://rfc.net/rfc822.html) was obsoleted by newer
RFC 2822 (http://rfc.net/rfc2822.html) that specifies some new stuff
about headers and so.
