I believe the PIV problem I am having is in the SCardTransmit function. The

If you want "no VNC" RDP on BSD, use X11rdp and xrdp. It should be
pretty easy to get compiling.
Get the latest git from github.com/FreeRDP/xrdp
or even the latest devel fork here

When packets are highly latent, I think XRDP works fine. It's heavy packet
loss that makes it almost unusable. Also, I've noticed that it's mostly
mouse events that trigger it. Keyboard is (usually) fine. It's also WAY
worse on Ubuntu than RHEL5. Though I can trigger this consistently with
RHEL5. B
By installing libc6-dbg, I was able to get the symbols for the send function.
Unfortunately, I still don't have the source code for it. My lack of the
deep workings of unix is hampering my debugging of this. Anyway know how to
find the source for the send.c that this is compiled against?

I'm not sure , but maybe it's a TCP retransmission which is a tcp session
recovery mechanism into TCP protocol.

I noticed that, too. So then what could be causing the send call to block?

xrdp is using tcp sockets only for remote connection right now.

Interesting guide on this:

Does XRDP use blocking UDP sockets?

I have also noticed that if you wait an absurdly long time, like an hour or
two, sometimes the session unfreezes by itself. I can only imagine this is
the send command timing out and returning.

I didn't make a CentOS 6.x install guide but there is one for 5.x that
should work.

I don't know how to compile the fontdump.c to get this utility, looking

Saravana,
are you using an installed package of xrdp or did you build xrdp from
source? Which version of xrdp did you install/build? Did you also build
X11 and make the symbolic link to X11rdp?
Take a look at this:

The issue was the Xsession file not found...
On CentOS/Red Hat, the file is located at /etc/X11/xinit/Xsession and not the
default location put into the /etc/xrdp/startwm.sh file which is
/etc/X11/Xsession.
I am back into my machine...updated my build and customization scripts for

LK has removed the IPv6 commits.
I'll create branch before trying that again.
Sorry for the instability.
