Having watched many converts come into church, having stood at some of
their baptisms and welcomed them into the ward, I have to say that this

Speaking of the versions of the Bible, I have a copy of the Hexapla.
This is a side by side of six different versions of the New Testament
including KJV, Geneva, Wycliffe and three others. I have found it very
interesting and thought provoking to read the different interpretations.
Not sure if
Looking for a little assistance. While the revelation where the Lord
said that it didn't matter what was used in the Sacrament was given in
1830 (section 27), it appears that it was not generally applied to the
body of the church until later. Anyone have references as to when the

Not that I would want to minimize what happened with sidewalk sleeze,
but I would take it over marching into the Roman Coliseum to face the
lions... Been reading Foxe's Book of Martyrs and it wasn't a picnic.

You can forgive someone and never associate with them again.
Can one's forgiveness be truly tested if there is no longer any
association with the offender? True forgiveness is marked by the ability
to show love and compassion in the face of hurt or offense.
Just a thought...

Chet,
If I were to vote, I would go for Elder Ballard's talk Sunday morning.
What better a topic than coming to know our Father in Heaven? Been a

John,
I have thought a lot about your comments. While I haven't been on the
list as long as others, I do sense that your heart is in the right

but the book has given me new insights into the impact I allowed other

Here is a quote from Alma, chapter 7, that may help:

of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel,
who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost,
and bring forth a son, yea,
I recently visited the ruins at Chichen Itza (sp). As most good tourists
do, I listened to the guide giving the standard pitch on the dating of
the pyramid and made the trek up the side of the structure to the top.
After enjoying the great view, I trundled down and went to the East side

Dear Zionisti,
For a long time I held to the idea that the Amerindians where, as
described in the Book of Mormon, solely the descendants of the Jaredites
and Lehites. I have had to change my thinking of late. Not because of
the DNA or any other feeble attempt by man to assign broad definitions

Jim Cobabe:
I wept when I learned of this sad news. Is something amiss
in the Church, that the Lord would allow one of his temples
to be destroyed?

It is sad, but I seriously doubt anything unusual is amiss.
I think there was a construction accident.

Before one's calling and election is made sure, one key step is

This is what Enos received after his wrestle with God which took him

I don't think it is the same thing.
