tweaking. Surprinsingly I have been able to
modify/saving one template after logging as emergency
user but I haven't been able to modify a secon

Look in portal_skins/portal_templates. The headers
and footers are there. If you plan to customize a
template you'll have to click the customize button.
This will make a copy of the template in
portal_skins/custom. After clicking the customize
button the template will be opened in your b
The template that does the footer is probably in the portal_skins
folder. Poke around there.
I'm not a CMF/Plone expert but there are lots of people on the plone
