*****Why? Assuming you use the factory ECU, you will have better low end AND
better top end with a given cam profile. Using the reprogrammed SR20 ECU is
where you will lose this benefit, and start to feel the weaker low end power
of the GA16 (minus the variable intake cam timing that is). I happened to
have the intake cam reground 2 degrees advanced statically, but in
retrospect it was unnecessary. The car has ridiculous low end torque for a
1.6 litre, and the horsepower and torque peaks both occurred at a lower rpm
point than stock.

Do you think that 10 hp will be gained with billet cams?

*****On a stock engine or modified? That's a loaded question.

> You di regrinds right?

*****Yup, that's all there was available to do at the time. I had them
custom ground to my specs, got rid of the split profiles, and bumped the
overall duration and lift a bit, plus the aforementioned lobe separation
angle change.

Did you install them with the motor in place, or out
>of car.

*****Complete out-of-car overhaul.

I hope not to have to remove the entire front cover to install these

*****Not having done it, I'm really not sure. Sorry.
