So, if you make no provision for supporting the VTC control system with a
JWT ECU in a B13, what implications does that have for performance?
Furthermore, to which setting does the system default if it is not being
controlled by the ECU? Would you end up with your powerband being strongly
biased toward high- or low-end power maybe? Or would the difference be
undetectable to the ButtDyno because of the overall power increase given by
the JWT programming?
Mike and Bob--if either of you are so inclined, I personally would *love* to
hear an in-depth explanation of what is going on with the VTC system--no one
seems to discuss it much, and I have never found any substantial
documentation about its operation or optimizing or defeating its operation.
