So, what is this MSD control launch unit?  It just engages the Solinoid of 
the VTC at a chosen RPM, so instead of it hitting at 3000, it could be set to 
engage at 2000 for better low end torque.  Sot of like a Vtec controller, 
which sets the thing to switch cams at a lower RPM for better response.
