Hey the only thing the hood scoop will do is push cooler air into the engine 
compartment to cool the motor off, which is a positive thing, it can't hurt.  
I was going to cut vents like the old Sunny GTI-R.  That would aveviate the 
heat inside also.  The CAI is better for getting air into the sentra motor 
that is cool, but the pipes are also warm even after a highway run in the 
summer.  I am going to wrap heat shield stuff around the intake to keep the 
heat off and see what that does.  In the winter, the car runs better with the 
CAI dragging in the cold 32 degree air, much denser and likable to the 
engine.  If the hood scoop is the thing, place vents on each side to wisp 
away the heat.  Use the Foam filters to keep water out of the vents.
