I never said they helped more, don't mis-quote me. All I said is that they do help. 
Say you have a Weapon*R. Without a scoop, it's pulling warm air from under the hood. 
If you were to mount a scoop on the hood above where the filter is, this will be 
flowing colder air over the filter. This colder air, obviously, will get sucked into 
the intake, helping lower the temperature of the intake charge. Once again, I never 
said a scoop was better, I just said it does help.
