Hi;

I acquired a Ping i3 lookalike set from a local distributer and assembled
them for a customer. He really liked them. Later, I got a set of heads that
were virtually identical to the i3's except that they didn't have that
angled cut at the top of the hosel. They did have the notch and are 431
stainless. I used TT Dynalite R/S shafts, spined and tipped to a relatively
soft flex - 295 cpm for the 5 iron, as I recall. I made them at a 4 cpm
slope. Bent the heads to 2 up from "standard" (60) 5 iron, and bent lofts
to about 4 increments. Sorry I don't have the exact numbers here at the
computer but they were something like that. Lengths are all 1/2" over std,
SW's are D2 - 2 1/2. Grips TW MidSize. I had another set of these heads that
I made for a guy, who really liked them so I figured I'd make up a set for
myself to the above specs.

I'm hitting the ball higher and longer with these clubs than with any other
set I've played over the past few years. Straight is becoming better as I
experiment with lie angles. 2 up for each and every club in the set isn't
necessarily best for me - or for most golfers, I'd guess. Some of my wedges
are a little more upright, some mid-irons are a little more flat.

Oh; the heads came from Sun Valley Golf.
