The argument, indeed, is moot. In case it was not obvious from my
'ummm' and 'seriously', I was kidding about loss of nutrition in the
microwave. I was trying to play the role of someone who would grasp as
straws like "microwaves kill nutrients".

These are idlis we are talking about, people! Idli dough is mostly
carbohydrates and a little bit of protein. These are not the nutrients
you are looking for (*wave Obi Wan Jedi wave*).

My point about the ends not necessarily being the point (as in the
Japanese Tea Ceremony), however, was not made in jest and remains.
Nerds everywhere need to pause and think about their propensity to
over optimize or not optimize for less tangible results.
