hehe, i made idlis out of pesarettu batter today... the green moong dal (+ lil rice) goodness works well for me:) this may be an old wives tale, but apparently the hand that mixes the batter helps fermentation ...not all hands though :) its got something to do with that individuals body heat (??) bleh... a mystery to me thus far.
