Shiv! THAT's not a fair or pertinent analogy. What you quoted is poetry and poetic imagery is, and can be, florid. And I would translate that as "smiles, like small bolts of lightning, play on your lips" :) I guess we are discussing the poetrification of our English prose! Deepa.
