To be sure, it wasn't clear from my very quick browsing of Madhu Menon's profile what his occupation was, but even given this information, I would say that it is not incorrect to say that Madhu Menon is a food photographer. (I don't know how I hit upon his profile first, but there was definitely some type of until-now-undiscovered-force-field that attracted me to his profile). I went to his Twitter feed and food photos is what I happened to see. So, I would say, au contraire, mon ami. It is perfectly correct to say that he is a "food photographer". He photographs food and that makes him a food photographer. I am going to continue to assume that it is okay to say that he is a food photographer.
