It would seem to explain why the lower concentration solutions(5-10 ppm) don't knock out the flora and disrupt the bowel function. However, when I took an experimental dose of high concentration silver (aprox.160ppm/ 1 ounce) it took two weeks to get things back in order, even with the best acidophilus culture around. It is possible that only so much can be absorbed in a very short time. Or that running an ounce of this high concentration by "at the speed of a gulp" can only result in partial absorbtion...the rest making it's way through to the large intestine. Just a thought. If this is true, then it would be another reason to use low concentrations or take small amounts of higher concentrations and spread this out over a days time (1/8 teaspoon X 8). Using the 5ppm silver daily, my family seldom is ill, though constantly coming in contact with others that are. If the maintenance/daily dose is not enough to overcome a powerful "invading" pathogen, then at first symptom of illness, other steps are taken immediately to erradicate it. We don't have any problems with normal elimination as a rule. Certainly nothing that would indicate any connection to taking colloidal silver daily. If for some reason the CS is not absorbed in the small intestine, then it would seem a certainty that it would eliminate ALL "friendly" bacteria in the colon. > I do take vitamin/mineral supplements occasionally.
