I have been picking 5 gallons of squash, 5 gallons of string beans, and soon will pick 5 gallons of okra per picking. Not a lot, I could grow much more, but that will make several people happy.

I'm happy for you but it's too cold here for okra so I have given up on it, though I love it having grown up in the south and eaten it from very early childhood. My first female squash flowers just bloomed, and not a bean flower in sight yet. Sigh. This has been the coldest June on record since 1917 and all the bush fruits are behind schedule.

Well, enjoy those okra. Sniff. At least I can buy them frozen now in the grocery store.
