We don't have many ticks around here; many animals but only found
one tick so far (on a male cat after he came home from an excursion).
No tick in her ears, either.

Looks like we're in for a long ride. After showing some signs of airway
troubles last night, she now finally seems to have stabilized. Except
for light movements of the head sideways, she's totally paralyzed.

I read this disease is most probably an immune reaction to the protein
of raccoon saliva, and acts much like an auto-immune disease, with
inflamed nerves along the spine. We'll keep up the CS and MMS, and will
give her whole body Comfrey poultice wraps in hopes that this might
help with inflammation and swelling.
