I find that a mix of stevia and xylitol suits me best. That way I can avoid
the off taste of the stevia and the gut reaction of the xylitol.

I found that it depends which brand of Stevia you use as to how it tastes,
there is an enormous difference between the different brands. I have never
used Xylitol again after putting a dessertspoonful in some custard I was
making and spending far too much time on the toilet with terrible diarrhoea.
A touch of Stevia suits this body just fine.

I've used Xyla, a xylitol (the kind made from birch, not corn.) I can't
stand stevia either; my taste-buds aren't wired right for it. Léna

I like all of the ingredients except stevia. Is there a substitute for
that? Coconut sugar perhaps? Thanks.
