First off 9 volts is a bit low in voltage. snap together atleast two or better three 9 volt batteries. To know what you are doing you really need a DMM (digital multi meter) in one leg of the cell. Also one needs to keep a log of what one does so as not to rediscover America every week. Generally one "cooks" the CS until the DMM reads about 3 ma. It is current dependent and not time dependent.
