I would, but that's me.
Don't forget, if you don't trust a batch, it can always be put in a spray bottle
for kitchen surfaces, bath/shower curtains, plants, etc. You'll become more
blase' as you gain experience.

Nobody uses salt anymore, it was for speeding up the starting of the process.
Using a dropperful of your commercial CS would do the same thing, but it's not
necessary. Do without!
Either way, it's not a big deal.

You'll have to set up a meter to read current at the very least.
Cook to about 3 to 4 milliamps.
You're going to need more than 9 volts. Think about a ~30volt battery
eliminator.

You've taken the hardest step already, the rest is refinement!
