Thanks, Sally told me about Transfer Factor. I don't have any, and feel even as slow as this is going, I would not have gotten any to hand soon enough to help this cold. I am using colostrum (from which transfer factor is made) in very high doses, as the only substitute to hand. Also NAC, L-Glutamine, and I forget what all else--oh, probiotics but not at the same time as I take my EIS or the GSE.

The Echinacea I have did produce the effects you mention, but it did nothing otherwise. I disagree that Echinacea or anything whatever, ALWAYS works. In my experience, nothing works all the time, or for everyone. Period.

I may purchase Transfer Factor in the future. Should it be taken constantly or only when needed, as when say one feels a cold coming on? It is VERY expensive, and I don't see me ever being able to take it daily for extended periods.

With this cold I only took Echinacea a day or so, absolutely no
indication it was helping so I moved on. Thanks for the info, I had no
idea it was related to ragweed.

If you hold the tincture of echinacea in your mouth, or chew the tablet, and it
doesn't make your mouth tingle and practically go numb, the herb is either being
processed incorrectly, or wasn't potent in the first place due to its being
grown on the wrong soil or being the incorrect species. Echinacea *always*
works.

That said, I have found Transfer Factor to be the most effective immune system
booster, shown in studies to be several times as effective as echinacea. If
you're allergic to the herb, or can't get good quality stuff, then you might
want to consider Transfer Factor.

Info about Transfer Factor is on my website.
