I know they remove the immoden (sp) from most of the aloe, but maybe enough
remains to cause you a problem, or it may be the preservatives. In that case,
maybe it wouldn't be good for you, but if you want to try, I get mine in a
health food store. Just make sure the brand you buy has the potassium sorbate,
some only have sodium benzoate.

In herbology, diarrhea is usually caused by the fire/heat principle being out
of balance. That partially explains why the silver (which is very cooling)
works for the problem. But I'm wondering if it isn't setting up a vicious
cycle, killing off too much of the flora in the process. I think that is what
happens with me also.

Maybe someone on this list might suggest where you could get potassium sorbate?

Can you suggest any sources? And I'd need to get some feedback on
whether the gel causes as much diarrhea as the liquid does. The most I
could ever take of the liquid is a TBS per day, after working up to it.
More than that gives me terrible diarrhea. (Diarrhea being my most
debilitating symptom anyway, it is not something I care to encourage).
One of the great benefits or oral CS to me has been that it usually
stops diarrhea very fast, if I drink enough all at once (like about a
pint--chugged).
I am looking into the option of oregano oil, which Paul Holloway
suggested, too. In one place I read it is an alternative to Caprylic
acid which I had to stop taking a few months ago.
