## I think CS will shorten the 'run it's course time' and reduce severity by limiting subsequent damage, but once damage is done, you still have to heal up and clear out the mess.

A friend of mine was complaining of a sore throat as we were doing an office remodel job. I gave him a 2 oz spritzer bottle of CS to use all day and his throat felt much better in a few hours...but he still felt like crap for 2 days and was telling me "This stuff doesn't work". [Didn't miss a day of work though]

It turned out that he had cone camping with a group and they all came down with strep. He felt like crap for 2 days, everyone else was half dead in bed for over a week.

Had he told me that, I'd have given him a quart of CS AND a spritzer bottle.
I don't know if a quart would have made a difference as the strep had already had a chance to take over some and no amount of CS kills everything instantly. More CS means more searchers, but there's still that search and destroy / bury the casualties time.

I am yet again convinced Ode is right, once you have definite unambiguous symptoms it is too late. Once I've got a cold, it has to run it's course. I've only had 2 since really using CS and have never been able to short-circuit either one with anything, the only thing I can short-circuit is the secondary infections.

Why is it just fingernails, and not toenails too?

Your fingernails hold clues to your health. Learn to recognize the
signs that might indicate a health issue. Some nail conditions are
harmless. These include vertical ridges, which may become more
pronounced as you age, and white lines or spots. Spots usually
result from injury to the nail plate or nail bed. In time the
    white spots will grow out.

Other nail conditions can indicate disease. For example, yellow or
green discoloration in your nails may result from a respiratory
condition, such as chronic bronchitis, or from swelling of your
hands (lymphedema). Indentations that run across your nails,
called Beau's lines, appear when growth at the area under your
cuticle is interrupted. This might occur because of an injury or
severe illness, such as a heart attack.

Does anyone know about a cause for vertical ridges in the
fingernails? They look healthy, no sign of anything wrong other
than many vertical ridges in every fingernail. All my life
they've been thin and too delicate to grow out long, but they
were always smooth. Several months ago I asked my doctor about
the ridges and she said she hopes they don't mean anything is
wrong and showed me her nails which looked just like mine. They
seem to have gotten worse in the last few months, so CS must not
    do a thing for them.
