Your right about the customs. As we're a mainly an agricultural based
economy the big fear is that one day something disastrous like foot and
mouth could get through. Recently the honey industry in the north
island has been hard hit by the Varoa Mite which must have slipped
through somehow. Lets hope it's impact wont cause too many problems in
the manufacture of Manuka honey.
