I dunno,
At least it's cut down on "It's in the archives, look it up!"
posts.
When we had archives, they became huge and unuseable because of their
size.
If you think it's an important post, save it. Take personal
responsibility.
I remember Bob used to give the annoying archive response instead of
simply answering the query.

Maybe a FAQ is needed.
