It's much better to just hide them. Some of the parameters of this sort are
available in advanced sections for some plug-ins but I doubt anyone is able
to take advantage of that.

The specific attributes responsible for shared line functionality should be
set based on the generic line/user setting (common for all types of
phones). Polycom will be - initially - the only plug-in that understand the
generic setting.

There won't be any "shared" switch on Polycom specific pages. There will be
one on user page. (based on you and Carolyn both agreeing that it's better
to configure this on a user level - and not line level).
