I know that the sipXecs uses RFC4235 for BLF. SPA942 phone also
supports this RFC. If you look at a capture file contents
("SPA942-BLF-demo-filtered.pcap" at
http://track.sipfoundry.org/secure/attachment/26627/SPA942-BLF-demo-filtered.pcap)
you will see that phone can successfully exchange with PBX messages
corresponding to RFC4235. Probably, there is a difference in RFC
implementation in sipX and SPA942. I have tried to set RFC3265_4235 as
Server Type in phone settings, but BLF feature doesn’t work in this
case too (look a snapshot
"sipx-snapshot-BLF-problem--SPA942-server-type-RFC.tar.gz" at
http://track.sipfoundry.org/secure/attachment/26626/sipx-snapshot-BLF-problem--SPA942-server-type-RFC.tar.gz).
I hope that somebody from sipXecs developers will find time to study
this problem.
