Please don't specifically take my comments or interpretations as the final word.
In version 5.1 of their Smartware, Patton instituted more contextual and location specific binding and commands. Specifically on page 561-564, it gives you configuration examples: http://www.patton.com/manuals/SCG-r51.pdf ---- location-service INALP domain inalp.com identity-group register registration outbound register auto identity 400 registration outbound registrar sip.inalp.com register auto identity 555 inherits register context sip-gateway GW_SIP sip-interface SIP_WAN bind interface IF_WAN port 5060 context sip-gateway GW_SIP bind location-service INALP -- So while I think the answer is "yes", I'd still like to hear back from anyone else (Michael Picher), to affirm or refute my interpretation of this. At the same time, this would require version 5.1 of the Smartware, as these new features were not prevalent in the widely used 4.2 version of Smartware. For users on 4.2, the configuration is field upgradeable, but the configuration file itself needs to be manually massaged, too much has changed to simply use the olf configuration file and have it work properly. Tony >>> "Robert Joly" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 07/11/08 11:13AM >>> Hi, I know that there are many Patton gateways users on this mailing list - I am calling to you. Basically, I'm trying to determine if it is generally possible to configure SIP credentials (authanme and SIP password) in a Patton FXO or PRI gateway the same way you can in any SIP phone today. My goal is to determine if a Patton gateway could be configured to successfully respond to a challenge from sipX if it ever saw one.
