Bob,

Could you give me a use scenario so I understand what you are trying to
accomplish?

A secondary login a phone could use if it can't register to the PBX?

I haven't used the commands Tony highlighted to connect a phone to the gateway
although I believe it can be done. I used the mentioned configuration to make
the gateway login to an ITSP and route calls in to a sipX server (made it into
my B2BUA).

Mike

Subject: [sipx-users] Patton gateway and credentials

Hi,
I know that there are many Patton gateways users on this mailing list - I am
calling to you. Basically, I'm trying to determine if it is generally possible
to configure SIP credentials (authanme and SIP password) in a Patton FXO or
PRI gateway the same way you can in any SIP phone today. My goal is to
determine if a Patton gateway could be configured to successfully respond to a
challenge from sipX if it ever saw one.

Thanks in advance,
bob
