I'd like to understand this a little more, and it is making sense to me why you are asking after looking through the tracker. Robert, are you asking if a Patton gateway is capable of authenticating against a proxy for making calls in relation to this? http://track.sipfoundry.org/browse/XECS-1467
If this were to be the case, I'd actually think configuring the gateway to act as a b2bua would perhaps be a better way to do it, but in either case, I think either are possible with a Patton Smartnode (FXO or PRI) using Smartware 5.1 or later. If this is in relation to XECS-1467, why couldn't you make the permissions to dial out at the conference level and let the gateways be agnostic and not care. Is there a description of this function in freeswitch somewhere? >>> "Picher, Michael" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 7/12/2008 6:47:16 AM >>> I saw that discussion on the DEV list after I replied... I tend to agree with Martin however in so much that anything designed for the site based routing (or anything else with the system) should not depend on any particular features of a particular phone, gateway or any other 'vendor' solution that isn't an open standard. That being said, I agree with you and think the Patton can be programmed to what he was asking.
