I'm not too worried about the GUI side. Yes, I look forward to seeing it also
but I can live with having to call support to get things done for a while since
most things I would use them for will be static.

That's where the problems start, the setup.
Once our test trunks were ready, I got on the phone with appia and the vendor
to simplify communications.
After some testing, appia found a problem and said they would have to do some
programming.

A week later, it got approved and we got to testing again. They found something
else they needed to update again.
The appia guy told me that with voip, you cannot be ready for everything out
there and I understand that so wasn't very worried about it since I need this
device to work with their services if we'll be using them.
Once they got their programming done, my vendor did his thing on the device and
once done, it's worked like a champ since.

Great, on to sipx. Again, ran into a problem with their telling me that their
hardware is supposed to be sending on port 5080 but that it's not and now they
need to look into that.

Of course, the flags are starting to pop up. This was days ago now and I'm
still waiting.
Why is it no matter what I want to try, it turns into days of programming or
troubleshooting?

Yet I've seen others say things are good with them? Did it take having to go
through this each time you wanted to get something done? So long as they will
be reliable, I don't have any issues with the problems but the red flags are
popping up so wanted to ask before I spend too much time waiting if I should
move on.

Thanks.

Mike
